GREG PAGE

On March 9th, 2001, Former WBA heavyweight champion Greg Page entered a boxing ring in a smoky bar in Erlanger, Ky called Peel's Palace. He would be fighting young up-and-comer Dale Crowe, local fan favorite. On the line, the Ky Heavyweight Championship belt and perhaps a step towards staking claim to one of the bigger prize belts. This night would change his life forever.

However, things went horribly wrong when Greg Page went down at the last of the final round and was unable to get up. Greg suffered a severe brain injury that night and continues his struggle to maintain some sort of normalcy on a day to day basis. Greg is paralyzed on his left side, wheelchair bound and must rely on others to do most everything else for him. He has multiple medical conditions due to the damage suffered that night and last year spent the better part of 4 months in and out of the hospital.

Through it all, the family tries to maintain some sense of humor, while being realistic. Greg is continually encouraged by messages from fans, friends and members of the boxing community.

As the 6th anniversary of this tragic injury approaches, please remember Greg in your thoughts and prayers.

GOD Bless you,

Patricia Love Page
